Welcome to the rules of roleplaying! These rules are important, so please don't skip this board.
Ok, to start, I'd like you to speak in third person. Some people like to use "I ate the apple. I loved the taste, and I thought about it all day as I walked around town.", and I'm sorry if I broke your traditional style of writing, but please use third person.
For all who do not know what third person means, I shall tell you. Third person is a writing style where the narrator is not the main character. For example, this what a third person roleplay entry would look like: "Ghost looked around in wonder at the environment around her. She was amazed."
Second rule: Please don't use chatspeak... Like "noob", "l337", "lol", "wtf" or anything. It's annoying. Imagine trying to read this:
"Ghost looked @ teh Knuckles dewd. 'LOLWTFBBQ!!!' Knuckles shouted. Ghost looked @ him and said 'I am teh l337 n00|3 XD LOLZ!'."
Don't look pretty, does it?
Me next rules is PLEASE using correct grammar! It has being annoying trying to deciphering some sentance that is having terrible, non-understandable grammar using. Please checking for grammatical error before you have posting.
Speelin is az improtnt az teh gramer. Plz yoose teh corekt speeleng az wel. T Y!
When you post, and wish to speak out of the roleplay, also known as "OOC" (Out of Character), please say so with a simple (Not Roleplay Post) or something like that. It's difficult to decipher OOC posts from Roleplay posts.
If you have a question about roleplaying, come to THIS BOARD AND ASK! Do NOT use up precious roleplay boards just to ask a question where it need not be asked.
When thy roleplay, thy must haveth a story. As William Shakespeare had said once to thee greatful world, "All the world's a stage.". Thy must supply at least a short paragraph of what be-est going on-est. When thy art writing the first post in thy creating of a thread, supplyest something similar to what thy art seeing now:
"Ghost had been walking around the forest for days. Still no sign of anyone, she made friends with her own shadow. She had been abandoned in the forest on the previous Monday, and had been searching for anything she could find; a town, a person, someone, something that could help her. She looked around, and heard a noise... It came from the west."
That would be when thou wouldst reply with thy roleplay entry, most likely as the noise Ghost dost hearest.
You must create a character before you roleplay. It helps exceedingly. There is a character thread a-comin' to this board, so please post there abding by the rules placed there.
I do hope I haven't forgotten anything... Please abide by these rules, as they will help you greatly. Happy roleplaying!
